Seed Teachers
Apply for Seed Teachers
Do you want to make a difference as a teacher in your home community? If you are a graduating senior from Tacoma Public Schools or Franklin Pierce School District, or graduated in the last two years and are not currently enrolled in a four-year university, you can apply.

The Seed Teachers application for 2023-2024 is now closed.

STEP 2 - Apply to PLU

If you haven’t already applied to PLU by February 1, you won’t be eligible for Seed Teachers this year. You can still apply to PLU for regular admission, however.

STEP 3 - Attend in-person selection event on campus

The 2024 in-person selection event has been completed.

STEP 4 - Final decisions

Candidates were notified whether they were selected to join the next Seed Teachers cadre on May 10. PLU will provide candidates with a financial aid award. Candidates will have until May 22 to commit to the program and accept the offer to PLU.
