2021 Pacific Lutheran University graduate and Act Six Scholar, April Reyes was highlighted in the PLU quarterly magazine, ResoLute. The article, “No Mud, No Lotus” explores April’s tattoos and her story from a traumatic past to Act Six and PLU to currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work at the University of Washington.
April’s goal is to become a social worker, “I want to use the hard life I’ve been through to make a difference. My goal is to help homeless students and students going through incarceration who want to finish and graduate high school. I want my life’s purpose to be there for them” she says.
