These students are so talented, and courageous, and it is truly impressive to connect with them. This event is always a highlight of my year, and it is so easy to navigate as an interviewer and supporter.

What: Opportunities are available both in-person and virtually. Score internship applicants on their interviewing skills and resume, while providing real-time feedback to support applicants’ growth, helping us to select applicants that will be matched with businesses as finalists for summer internship opportunities. All volunteers receive training and support from Seed Internship staff.

When: Three to six hours on a Saturday or virtually in the spring.

Guest Speaker

What: Be a professional guest speaker for our students and interns during their program trainings. Topics range from: first weeks on the job and knowing yourself, personal finances and housing, imposter syndrome and mental health, DEI and allyship, and more.

When: Various times throughout the year.

Meals/Snacks for Student Training

What: Provide meals or snacks to our scholars and interns as they participate in training. The number of participants vary from smaller gatherings of 10 to larger trainings that include upwards of 50 participants.

When: Various dates and times throughout the spring and summer.

Fall Care Packages

What: Help assemble care packages and write notes of affirmation for our first-year college students. Option to help deliver packages to campus for those interested.

When: September to October.

I absolutely loved helping out with care packages, it made me so happy and I'm hoping I'll be available to help deliver them too. Degrees of Change is so awesome for doing stuff like this.
