61 Student Leaders Earn the Final Act Six Scholarships

We are thrilled to announce that 60 emerging young leaders from Tacoma-Seattle, Portland-Salem, Yakima Valley, and Minneapolis-St. Paul have earned the final Act Six scholarships to Augsburg University, Bethel University, Concordia College, George Fox University, Heritage University, Northwest University, Pacific Lutheran University, and Saint Martin’s University. The colleges will provide full-tuition, full-need scholarships to these exceptional students over the next four years.

Prior to starting at their respective universities, Act Six scholars will participate with their peers in pre-college trainings provided by program staff. The trainings will equip scholars to support each other, succeed academically, and grow as service-minded leaders and agents of transformation. Act Six scholars begin college with their cadres ready to engage the campus and community with a built-in support system and sense of purpose. They will receive continued supports throughout their college experience.

Selected through a rigorous three-month competition among hundreds of applicants, these diverse student leaders were chosen for their commitment to serving on campus and at home, passion for learning, eagerness to foster intercultural relationships, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones.
